Marion Jackson (Certified Gyrotonic Instructor) Marion has always loved to move. Her passion for movement started with a love of dance and yoga. But in Gyrotonic she found the perfect combination of what she loved best about yoga; breath, concentration, strengthening and increased range of movement, and what she loved best about dance; freedom, flow, rhythm, and expression. She completed her Gyrotonic Foundation course in 2005 under Master Trainer Leda Franklin and her Gyrokinesis Foundation course in 2007 under Master Trainer Sebastian Plattenberg in NYC. She has also studied extensively with Gyrotonic Master Trainers around the US and in Germany. Her quest to learn everything about the Gyrotonic system and the human body is insatiable, for she recognizes that in order to be a good teacher one must be a life-long student. Marion has taught clients ranging in age from 7 to 94 as well as clients at all stages in their quest for physical fitness. Her hope is to inspire her students with her passion for the Gyrotonic system while bringing easeful strength, grace and freedom of movement to the everyday lives of those that she teaches. Marion is certified to teach yoga through Integral Yoga in NYC, and has studied Vinyasa Yoga extensively with Shiva Rea. She also recently completed her Pilates Mat Certification through Power Pilates in Chicago.     Peter Myran (Certified Gyrotonic Instructor) Peter Myran developed his passion for fitness and movement as he approached his 50th birthday. Until then Peter had been primarily focused on his career in technology and finance. As he approached the milestone of 50 he became more concerned with his health and a painful back issue that he had stubbornly ignored over much of his adult life.
Undertaking a Pilates program and then yoga helped the back issue considerably. But it wasn’t until Peter discovered GYROTONIC® that he finally found the means to successfully move beyond the issue.
Peter has studied GYROTONIC® for four years with three excellent teachers, namely Kathleen Aharoni, and master teachers Alissa Seim and Juergen Bamberger. He certified in the method in the summer of 2006, and has been enjoying teaching since then. Peter is also certified on the Jumping/Stretch Board and Gyrotonic Ladder.
