STUDIO INFORMATION AND POLICIES

Making appointments:
Private, Duet, and Trio training is available by appointment. Pre-payment is required for all sessions in order to reserve an appointment time and an instructor in our studio schedule. Pre-payment is expected at least 24-hours prior to your appointment time. Please see reverse side for our prepayment policy.

Independent Session:
Independent sessions (self-taught classes) are available to certified teachers and to those clients given clearance by their primary instructor to utilize the equipment on their own. Independent sessions are scheduled through the studio appointment desk.

Class cards:
Class cards are available for purchase in 5 or 10 class card packages. 10 Class cards expire after six months. 5 Class cards and Introductory specials expire after 3 months; all class cards are non-refundable and non-transferable. Class card purchase or weekly pre-payment is necessary for a standing appointment time. Please see reverse side for standing appointments.

Our cancellation policy:
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments. To avoid a late cancellation charge, please phone the studio at least 24-hours in advance of your appointment time. If you fail to show for your appointment, or if you cancel with less than 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full price of your session to cover studio fees and the cost of our instructor's time.

Refusal of Service Policy:
Chicago Northshore Gyrotonic has the right to refuse service to anyone if they appear unfit to be exercising for any reason.

Duet Appointments:
Duet appointments can be scheduled in either Gyrotonic, Pilates, or Gyrokinesis. Our cancellation policy for Duets: In the event that one party cancels with 24-hour notice, the remaining duet member may take a private session by paying the difference in session cost. In the event that one party cancels without 24-hour notice, the remaining member of the duet may take the class as a private session for no additional charge.

Trio Appointments:
Trio appointments can be scheduled in either Gyrotonic, Pilates, or Gyrokinesis. Our cancellation policy for Trios: If one participant cancels "on time" for the scheduled Trio session, the two other parties can take the session as a duet for an additional 10 dollar fee a piece (the difference between the price of a Trio class and a duet). If the cancellation is "not on time," there is no additional fee for the other two parties. If two participants cancel "on time" for the scheduled Trio Session, the session can be offered to the remaining party as a private for an additional fee (the difference between the price of your Trio class and our private session rate) or the instructor can cancel the session. If the cancellations are "not on time," there is no additional fee for the other participant.

Observations:
There is a 15 minute time limit for any session observation.

Studio Closings:
We are closed in observance of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. In addition, the studio closes for one week in the winter, usually between Christmas Day and New Year's Day as well as one week each summer , usually around Independence Day.

Hygiene:
Please refrain from using perfume or strong lotions as some individuals have allergies to these products.

Illness:
This type of exercise does not benefit the body when one is ill. It tends to stress the body further and exposes others to illness. We ask that you kindly cancel your appointment when you are under the weather.

Babysitting:
Please refrain from bringing under aged children with you, as there is not a way for them to be adequately supervised while you are exercising.

Mobile phones:
We ask that you help us maintain a focused and peaceful environment by refraining from using cell phones during your visit. Please turn off your cell phone (or set it to vibrate) before entering the studio.

Most importantly:
Attitude is everything! We all have stress in our lives; let our studio be your break from the frantic pace of the world. Relax, quiet your mind, think positive, and enjoy your session with us.

Continuing Education Discount:
We offer a 10% discount to apprentice or certified instructors of PILATES, GYROTONIC, & GYROKINESIS who are taking sessions as part of their continuing education. Please speak with an instructor regarding eligibility for this discount.

Referral Discount:
If an existing client refers a new client, and the new client buys a class card, the existing client receives a 15% discount on the next class card they purchase. There are no other studio discounts.
